Our Founder
Fulfilling a 9 year promise
In 2015, Vishal visited Fiji for the first time. His parents are from Lautoka and Suva, but he had to wait 24 years to experience the 'motherland' for himself. When he arrived, he was blown away at the friendliness of the people and the warmth of the love he received. As an Indo-Fijian born in the United States he realized how privileged he was. It was then, during this trip that he knew that he wanted to do something in his life that would give back to the people. In 2023, Vishal returned to Fiji, this time as a matured and seasoned professional, married and full of 8 years of knowledge acquired through his work experience in higher education. Now he has launched The Fiji Promise, a 9 year promise he made to himself to give back to the amazing people in his homeland and to ensure opportunities are not bound by geographical location or finances.
